We create functional, thoughtful designs
followed by preparatory and efficient project management.

Our clients understand that if a space isn’t functional, it doesn’t matter if you use the most beautiful tile, countertops, wallpaper, paint colors—it won’t work for your needs.

During undergrad, I had a professor that said, “If you have a great design, it will be beautiful, even if everything in the space is white.”

Effective interior design should be beautiful before adding materials and finishes. Those selections are what will take your custom design to the next level.

Execution is by far the most volatile and stressful part of the entire process. Our residential and commercial clients don’t want to worry about how to handle what will inevitably go wrong because we’re there to handle it. Our streamlined project management services allow us to work closely with vendors, contractors, craftspeople and installers to ensure your vision is clearly communicated.

How it Started

I wanted to be an interior designer since I was 13—as soon as I realized it was a '“real” job. I was the kid who would ask their best friend if she wanted to draw floor plans for fun (she would lovingly suggest doing something else). I even wrote to interior designers that I admired from my design magazines—I still have those letters.

I’d always been creative, but I liked that interior architecture and design also have a technical side and constraints that call for thoughtful solutions.

Before starting SG23 Design, I worked in award-winning high-end residential design, hospitality, retail and corporate interior design. Our clients value thoughtful, custom-tailored design, attention to detail, and our rapport with architects, builders and contractors.
